The original of the set is a ritual pot in the shape of a Mediterranean shell made by silver and decorated with gold. It is found in the tomb of the Thracian ruler Seuthes III and is from IV-th CBC.
The vessel was part of rituals to the Mother-Godess and used by the queen. The Seuthopolis symbol (the symbol of the Odrissian kingdom) is on the base of the vessel. That proves this vessel belonged to the Odrissian dynasty and was probably used by Seuthes’ wife.
