This symbol is a replica of those found in Vratza for Thracian horses, the photo in the middle is the original. It is interesting because it combines the male and female symbols. the sun and water signs. This symbol is Mandala, symbolic version of the ancient images of the universe that combine male and female signs put in exact order in exact meaning. In the centre is the sun, the centre of the world (Axis Mundi). It is composed by three circles, probably because in the Thracian images the sun has triple origin. It is rounded by 3 horses. In this circle, the real world has male domination (the number 3 and the horse belong to the male world). The next circle is usually the spiritual world, it belongs to the female world because it is composed of water animals. There is a final circle. In the female version of the jewellery this circle does not exist and the final element is of female origin.
